I have changed my career several times from Banker, to HR Leader, to Facilitator and Career Coach, across Finance, Insurance, Recruitment, Outplacement and Return To Work Services. As a result, I know first hand how careers can be varied and fulfilling, and have coached many people to find their passion and potential at work. develop in the role, or flourish under a new role. As per the Australian average, I too have been retrenched twice, and each time it has been the trigger for my career to flourish.
How I can help you
Life has been an amazing career journey. In 1990, fluent in Japanese and armed with a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies, with a sub major in general Economics History, I started my life as a banker and progressed to a Corporate Relationship Manager servicing multinationals. From lending, I moved into leadership and operational roles before being drawn into HR in 2001 in the same organisation. After 18 years at Australia's oldest bank, with three amazing career experiences, a redundancy was actually good for me, to experience other industries and operations. I entered a senior HR role at a major Australian Global Insurer before discovering the joy of Career Coaching and Facilitation with one of the World's largest Career Transition Coaching organisation, and worked with many clients and companies, including onsite at Qantas. My biggest corporate role was Group Executive, HR at a publicly listed company for five years, where we transformed to four times the size and revenue, until we ourselves were taken over in a friendly manner, and my job was done.
I now strategically pick the best work I do, with those of biggest need, either looking for their next role, or being coached to their untapped potential in their current role.
With my vast executive HR, leadership coaching and career transition experience, and having attended or overseen thousands of job interviews, I meet many great people who struggle to sell themselves for role opportunities. My commitment to you is to provide you with some simple tools, help you find your brand and unique value add, and how to use your vast network as well to match your greatness to a purposeful role, if looking for a role.
